Discernment Inc. is a Florida nonprofit corporation founded on a simple observation: the people who most need to understand AI are the least likely to be taught it. Vendors teach their product. Universities teach theory. Almost nobody teaches a working adult, a small-business owner, a pastor, a nurse, or a retiree how these systems actually work, where their data goes, and how to use them without being used.

What we do

• Free courses — from a first prompt to deploying frontier models on Azure and Google Cloud with verified data protections.
• Vendor-neutral instruction — we teach the model, the platform, and the product as separate layers so learners can evaluate any tool, not just the one being marketed this year.
• Dated, checkable facts — regions, retention defaults, and model lists change. Every lesson that states one says when it was last verified.

Why "discernment"

Fear and hype are both forms of not looking. Discernment is the middle path: use the tool, understand it, verify it, and take responsibility for the result. It's a learnable skill — the cognitive skill of this century — and we believe everyone is entitled to it.

Structure

Discernment Inc. is incorporated in the State of Florida as a nonprofit corporation and is applying for recognition of exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Until that determination is issued, contributions may not be tax-deductible.
